The Office has authorised publication of the following statement submitted by Mrs Emmeline Peckhurst, Interim Assistant Deputy Acting Head of Avian Affairs & Flying Mammal Affairs (Platform 5/6 Division).
To all those who have written expressing concern,
I wish to assure the public that I remain fully committed to assisting the Department for Elections & Governance with its enquiries.
I have always sought to administer polling arrangements fairly, diligently and without prejudice to species, nationality, migratory status or preferred nesting location.
Should it be determined that a procedural error has occurred, I shall naturally accept whatever recommendations are made by the Office.
Until such time, I respectfully ask that no blame be attributed to me. I have performed my duties in good faith and under exceptionally busy conditions.
Please also be reminded that the Department currently consists of one pigeon. Whilst I remain fully committed to my duties, applications are presently being accepted for a part-time (5 hours per week) Administrative Support Assistant within Avian Affairs (interested parties may view the vacancy at: https://tiggythecat.co.uk/…/administrative-support).
Finally, I would like to thank the many subjects who have offered kind words of encouragement. They have been greatly appreciated.
