Newly enfranchised birds descend on Platform 5 in such numbers that the platform briefly closes, leaving Emmeline battling ballots and translation difficulties. A field operative is dispatched to Upton in search of translation assistance, while an unauthorised excavation appears in the vicinity of Platform 5.

Non-avian protesters occupy Platform 6 demanding the vote, while further constitutional reform only inflames tensions. With millions of insects and spiders now demonstrating, and a press report questioning her principles, an exhausted Emmeline Peckhurst reaches breaking point.

The Employee of the Week ballot is suspended after troubling irregularities emerge in the flying mammal vote, while unrest continues on Platform 6. Toffee is sent on leave to undergo emergency treatment and Field Operative Phileas Moss Esq. submits the first instalment of his expense report.

Tiggy apprehends two Station Rats in connection with the mysterious moth-attracting illumination, while the discovery of a group of Bat Moths raises awkward constitutional questions about voting eligibility. Meanwhile, Phileas submits the second page of his expense report and preparations begin for the Annual Staff Census.

The behaviour of Buzz and Toffee causes an inter-departmental squabble, Health & Safety (Ant Division) investigates what regulations were breached by the rats during the making of the Bat Moths’ fake identity cards, and Phileas takes a wrong turn.

With the Employee of the Week vote remaining suspended, unrest continues on Platform 5. A scuffle between the Duck (you know the one) and Toffee results in a crutch shortage, while 'Chicken Nibbles' sold by an unlicensed street vendor cause a food poisoning outbreak.

Station Rats A and B remain at large and the Staff Census gets underway, but is immediately held up by an unexpected inability for the majority of staff members to state their scientific species. Meanwhile, a group of carrier pigeons begin their training ready to deliver the Employee of the Week postal ballot papers.

Tiggy returns from her pamper weekend with Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn to find the Staff Census suspended following an unfortunate lifting incident. Meanwhile, Station Rats A and B face court over the fraudulent food safety documents, postal ballot deliveries continue and the waiting ants discover an unexpected enthusiasm for synchronised parasol dancing.

The Official Office of Tiggy Shop opens for business, while a magnificent 26-ant synchronised quadruple somersault with parasols fully extended is cause for celebration. Meanwhile, Phileas unexpectedly reappears at Chester Station (minus his Travelling Tote), and a new arrival at home prompts Tiggy to volunteer for additional overtime.

As Tiggy prepares for her 7th birthday, disagreement grows over whether Chester Town Hall constitutes an appropriate venue for the celebrations. Meanwhile, Emmeline’s increasingly unreasonable workload brings NUAE representative Mr Bernard Thistlethwaite to the Office, Phileas' Travelling Tote remains missing, and Tiggy merchandise makes its first appearance in a Chester shop.

Details of Tiggy’s extraordinarily extravagant birthday weekend arranged by Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn emerge and Emmeline finally meets her long-promised assistant. Meanwhile, Phileas acquires a Travelling Trolley and continues the search for his missing Travelling Tote.

Mr Phileas Moss Esq. comes under suspicion, but continues developing plans for a flying harness. While waiting for Mrs Peckhurst and the Synchronised Tap & Parasol Dance Troupe judging panel to resolve their differences, the ants get constructive. The week ends with a historical find…

The ants go on strike, there's an incident involving the Duck (you know the one) outside the Wee Parasol Cathedral, the investigation into how 628 wee parasols came to be in Phileas's Travelling Tote deepens, Phileas reveals his new flying harness engineering team, and the Employee of the Week ballot (week ending 12 June) finally closes.

A dramatic week begins with Tiggy being placed on sick leave. While she recuperates, staff discover that Tiggy’s job is not as easy as it looks; the definition of “broadly under control” is formally clarified; the Wee Parasol investigators make a breakthrough; and the ants’ tap-shoe crisis continues.

An incident at the World Town Crier Tournament leaves the Duck (you know the one) in a coma with Mrs Peckhurst at his bedside. Elsewhere, Phileas Moss publishes a heroic account of his inaugural flight, the Employee of the Week count inches forward, and Mrs D-L and Tiggy have a disagreement over the taking of Tiggy's personal measurements.
