The Office of Tiggy is pleased to announce that, with effect today, its activities at Chester Railway Station will for the first time be formally reported to the human public.
Tiggy has maintained an active presence at Chester Station since moving to Chester in 2025 at the age of six. Before this, she lived in rural East Sussex, where she received a broad early education in fieldcraft, territorial management and the observation of small mammals. Her residence also overlooked a large pond populated by swans, geese and ducks, affording her extensive early experience in avian observation and interspecies relations.
Upon her relocation to Chester, she undertook specialist training in urban rat catching and human behaviour at Tramways Student Accommodation. During this time, she was also admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Rodent Studies (FRCRS).
She then took on some advisory work at Chester Station, where she quickly identified a number of areas in which greater feline oversight was clearly necessary, including rodent control, staff cuddle appraisals, passenger morale, platform supervision and the general observation of human behaviour.
As no feline had been appointed to undertake these duties, and feeling ready to take on a new professional challenge, Tiggy appointed herself Chief Rat Catcher & Inspector of Human Behaviour, thus establishing The Office of Tiggy.
Having operated largely outside public scrutiny since its establishment, Tiggy has today authorised the opening of the Official Record, through which the activities of the Office will henceforth be reported to interested human subjects.
