Tiggy has completed her morning patrol and is pleased to report that all remains broadly under control.
Following confirmation of Tiggy’s direct descent from Lady Tigridia, Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn has commissioned herself to create a stained-glass window featuring Tiggy as a companion piece to the newly discovered one of Lady Tigridia in Chester Cathedral. The window will be paid for by Mrs D-L, who is expected at Chester Station today for Tiggy’s first sitting.
All 14,873 Health & Safety (Ant Division) ants, aside from Senior Risk Assessment Officer Anita Butler (Ant No. 14,351), remain on strike and continue their occupation of the half-built Wee Parasol Cathedral. Following yesterday’s sugar spillage, Anita is currently off strike to inspect the pulley system used to convey supplies into the Cathedral. Human subjects may continue to donate sugar, but are asked to carefully place it directly inside the north transept while the pulley system remains out of action.
Phileas Moss Esq.’s Flying Harness Engineering Team are now working on a preliminary prototype, with the harness straps believed to be taking shape nicely. Meanwhile, Mr Moss remains in The Chester Station Tap Room, writing his aviation memoirs. A number of human subjects have asked how he could write his aviation memoirs before having taken flight; he has explained: “An aviation memoir would not be complete without a full and comprehensive account of events leading up to taking to the skies, hence one feels it prudent to begin writing now.”
Dr Barnaby Wycliffe’s first day of research into the possible hereditary nature of Lady Tigridia’s annual 12-herring stipend was reportedly hampered both by sugar sticking together several pages of the reference books which had been in his briefcase, and by the Duck (you know the one) repeatedly asking him to speak about what he experienced while encased in the sugar mountain at one of his forthcoming gatherings. Dr Wycliffe has declined on the basis that all he felt was sticky.
Tiggy is currently practising looking stately ready for Mrs D-L’s arrival.
