Following repeated requests from human subjects, Tiggy has finally authorised the Office to release details of the celebrations arranged by Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn for her 7th birthday.
The Office can now confirm that the weekend proceeded as follows:
On Friday evening, Tiggy was collected from Chester Station and chauffeured by Rolls-Royce to Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn’s residence, Dillwyn Manor.
On arrival, Tiggy was welcomed with a 2019 Vintage Tuna Water Reception, the vintage having been specially selected to correspond with the year of her birth. The tuna water was accompanied by hand-flaked yellowfin tuna and Cornish crab canapés, garnished with a delicate Cantabrian anchovy reduction.
On Saturday morning, following a breakfast in bed of Scottish smoked salmon, butter-poached lobster, scrambled Burford Brown eggs with caviar and a saucer of Jersey cream, Tiggy enjoyed a warm Moroccan argan-oil paw massage and a hydrating goat’s-milk and caviar facial before Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn informed her that arrangements had been made for luncheon. Tiggy was then escorted to the south-west lawn of Dillwyn Manor, where, to her great delight, a private helicopter was waiting.
Tiggy was then whisked across the Channel to Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, one of Europe’s foremost fishing ports, Mrs D-L having concluded that nothing less than the finest, freshest fish landed that very morning would be appropriate for Tiggy’s birthday luncheon.
On landing in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Tiggy was met at the quayside by the President of the local Fishmongers’ Association, Monsieur Jean-Baptiste Lefèvre, accompanied by a delegation of local fishmongers waving “Joyeux Anniversaire Tiggy!” banners. Following a short welcome, Tiggy was formally presented with a hamper containing a selection from the morning’s catch, a 1919 Dover sole (Solea solea) Champagne and the keys to the port.
