MORNING REPORT: Tiggy has completed her morning patrol and is pleased to report that, following the satisfactory resolution of yesterday’s dispute, normal Office operations have resumed and all remains broadly under control.
With formal discussions postponed by Tiggy’s withdrawal from official duties yesterday, Mr Bernard Thistlethwaite, NUAE Regional Case Officer (Cheshire West), instead spent the day meeting NUAE members around Chester Station and familiarising himself with local working conditions. Discussions between Mr Thistlethwaite and Tiggy regarding Mrs Peckhurst’s workload and staffing requirements will commence this morning.

Amongst those Mr Thistlethwaite met were the duck (you know the one), whose skills of oration and persuasion apparently impressed him considerably, and Field Operative Phileas Moss. Despite not being an NUAE member, Mr Moss subsequently joined him for a convivial afternoon in The Chester Station Tap Room where the pair discussed the relative merits of travelling with one’s accommodation permanently attached to one’s person. Mr Moss showed particular interest in Mr Thistlethwaite’s specially constructed flight harness.
Buzz and Toffee have commenced counting Box 2 of the 143-box Wee-Tap Shoes R Us consignment, following their jointly agreed total of 1,011 wee tap shoes in Box 1. The Office sincerely hopes that the count runs smoothly from here on in.
Finally, Tiggy needs no reminder that, following instructions received yesterday from Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn, a small overnight case must be packed and ready by this evening. Tiggy has instructed her Personal Private Secretary to include a foldable holdall, just in case additional carrying capacity should be required for the journey home…
Tiggy also reminds human subjects that anyone wishing to mark her 7th Birthday by helping cats who have not managed to acquire their own railway station can make a donation directly to Chester Kitty Cat Rescue: https://chesterkittycatrescue.org/donations
Tiggy is finding it a little difficult to concentrate on work due to excitement and so is taking a nap on her favourite bench.
