The Office can confirm that Tiggy has now completed her evening patrol and that all remains broadly under control.
The Department for Street Food Regulation has continued its investigation into a number of cases of food poisoning. Early findings appear to support initial suspicions that the outbreak originated from an unlicensed fox selling portions of a discarded chicken baguette as “Chicken Nibbles”. The Office reminds all creatures that suspiciously inexpensive food is often inexpensive for a reason. The fox in question has been detained for questioning.
Meanwhile, voting on Platform 5 remains suspended whilst discussions with Mrs Emmeline Peckhurst continue. The Office can confirm that negotiations remain ongoing, although it has declined to comment on recent newspaper speculation regarding the matter.
The Office is pleased to report that both the injured field mouse and the millipede continue to recover well. The latter has now attended the first of what is expected to be a fair few physiotherapy appointments. First Aid reports that crutch supplies remain limited. Creatures are therefore advised to avoid accidents involving limbs wherever reasonably practicable.
The Department for Merchandise & Commemorative Affairs has confirmed that it has engaged the services of a local printer to produce mugs, clothing and bags. As a great supporter of local businesses, Tiggy is delighted that, rather than being mass-produced elsewhere, official Office merchandise will be designed and printed in her home city. The Department also confirms that a proportion of the proceeds will be donated to a local cat charity, ensuring that the initiative supports both a local business and a local charitable cause. Further announcements will follow in due course.
Tiggy wishes all staff, passengers and creatures a wonderful and safe weekend.
