The Office can confirm that Tiggy has now concluded her interview with Station Rat A and reached the following conclusions:
Both Station Rats A and B were well aware that they had absolutely no authority or remit to manufacture ID cards. As such, the cards issued to the Bat Moths were illegal and invalid. Furthermore, they had no authority to install lighting within the station and were additionally acting unlawfully in identifying themselves as “lighting engineers”.
The sole purpose of their actions was not, as the rats maintained, to assist the Bat Moths in exercising their constitutional right to vote, but rather to undermine the democratic process and make a mockery of both The Office of Tiggy and Tiggy herself. They failed on both counts.
Having considered all of the evidence, Tiggy has determined that Station Rat A was the ringleader of the operation, since Station Rat B clearly lacks the wherewithal of a criminal mastermind, not least on account of abandoning the laminator on the station concourse and then making the even greater mistake of later collecting it from Lost Property.
Accordingly, both rats have been sentenced to three days in custody, during which Tiggy shall torment them like toys. Upon release, Station Rat A shall additionally complete 90 hours of community service, assisting the Department for Cleaning & Environmental Hygiene with the removal of bird droppings from Platform 5.
In light of this ruling, all charges against the Bat Moth community have been dropped. Tiggy accepts that the group was coerced into entering the station by the rats and then informed that they had to vote “or else”. They were also misled into believing the identification cards were lawful and issued as standard to all eligible voters.
