The Office can confirm that Tiggy, Chief Rat Catcher (FRCRS), has now conducted separate interviews with Station Rat A and Station Rat B, observed by representatives from the Department for Law & Justice.
Both individuals admitted operating the illumination observed during the Flying Mammal voting in the Employee of the Week ballot.
When asked by Tiggy about the purpose of the light, both individuals stated that the illumination had been provided to alert what they each described as “a constitutionally eligible group” travelling through Chester Station to the existence of the ballot.
The Department notes that, despite being interviewed separately, both accounts were materially consistent.
When asked by Tiggy to identify the group concerned, both individuals declined to comment further.
The Department for Law & Justice confirms that neither individual has admitted to any attempt to interfere with the democratic process and both continue to maintain that they acted entirely within the Office Constitution.
The Department for Elections & Governance advises that enquiries are now focused on establishing the identity of the group referred to during interview.
The Employee of the Week ballot remains suspended.
