The Lost Property Office is delighted to announce that it has this morning reunited Pepper BSc (Hons), FICSA with her misplaced tennis ball.
The ball was recovered from the River Dee by a passing swan who kindly handed it in.
While there was at first some question as to whether the ball belonged to a rail passenger (a Pincer Cross travelling from Manchester), Pepper was happily able to establish lawful ownership by identifying a small V-shaped tear in the outer covering and by producing extensive photographic evidence of herself in possession of the item on numerous previous occasions.
The Lost Property Office wishes Pepper many further joyous hours of fetch with her favourite ball.
