16.02 Health & Safety (Ant Division) Strike Ends!

Following clarification from Wee Tap Shoes R Us regarding the number of shoe sets contained within the 143-box consignment, and confirmation that all ants will be given a fair opportunity to audition, members of Health & Safety (Ant Division) have agreed to return to work.

In accordance with the agreement, every single ant will be given the opportunity to audition for the Chester Station Synchronised Tap & Parasol Ant Dance Company, which will consist of:

☂️ First Troupe: 4,826 places
👞 Reserve Troupe: 8,722 places

This means that 13,548 of the 14,873 members of Health & Safety (Ant Division) will ultimately secure a place in one of the two troupes.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Staff Census and construction of the Wee Parasol Cathedral will also recommence.

Ants concerned that their Wee Parasols have been used to build the Wee Parasol Cathedral are requested not to remove them. The Cathedral is fast becoming a local tourist attraction and, additionally, an inspector from the Chester Society of Miniature Architecture is expected shortly to assess whether it qualifies for listed status. Instead, Mrs Peckhurst is arranging the procurement of a further supply of Wee Parasols from Wee Parasols R Us for use in the auditions.

Wee Tap Shoes R Us has also clarified the discrepancy concerning the three additional shoes listed on the delivery paperwork. These are spares, to be used in the event that any of the other 63,844 shoes are lost or damaged.

Final note: in the interests of fairness, all auditions conducted prior to the industrial dispute have been declared void. Those ants who previously auditioned will be required to audition again.
