Tiggy has completed her morning patrol and is pleased to report that everything remains broadly under control.
The Duck (you know the one) has reported for his first full day as Mrs Emmeline Peckhurst’s assistant and has begun implementing his proposed improvements to the Staff Census queue. His first measure, a short period of guided reflection before ants are permitted to join the queue, is causing a little bit of a backlog, but the Duck remains confident that the new system merely requires time to “find its natural rhythm.” Mrs Peckhurst continues to decline to comment.
Buzz has now located the relevant section of her Employee Handbook and formally submitted an appeal requesting the removal of the disciplinary note issued following her avoidance of overtime to count Box 1 of the wee tap shoe consignment from Wee Tap Shoes R Us. Harley has acknowledged receipt of the appeal and advised Buzz that it will be considered in accordance with Office procedure. Toffee has asked whether, while they are waiting, she might be allowed to count something else.
Field Operative Phileas Moss Esq. is understood to be taking a short comfort break in The Chester Station Tap Room before boarding his newly adapted luggage trolley in order to travel to the Lost Property Office to see if it is his travelling tote that has been handed in.
Senior Risk Assessment Officer Anita Butler (Ant No. 14,351) has completed the preliminary section of her assessment of Mr Moss’s proposed flight-harness system. Particular attention is being given to maximum operating altitude, emergency landing procedures and the question of what safety measures can be put in place to cover the eventuality of Mr Moss unexpectedly encountering a large body of water (he is not a strong swimmer).
Work on the Official Tiggy 2027 Calendar is now nearing completion. The Office is hopeful that it will be available for human subjects to review and pre-order later this week.
Tiggy has made another promise to provide full details of her birthday weekend…the Office is hopeful they may be forthcoming shortly.
The Office wishes all human subjects a wonderful day.
