Tiggy has completed her evening patrol and is pleased to report that everything remains broadly under control.
Mrs Emmeline Peckhurst has now been formally introduced to her new assistant, the Duck (you know the one). The Duck describes his first day as โwonderfulโ and has begun drawing up plans for improvements to queue management, alongside a programme of spiritual outreach for waiting ants. Mrs Peckhurst continues to decline to comment.
Buzz has informed Harley that, following the decision to abandon the counting of the 143-box consignment of wee tap shoes from Wee Tap Shoes R Us, she intends to request that the disciplinary note received during the counting of Box 1 be removed from her record. Harley has advised Buzz to consult her Employee Handbook and submit any appeal through the proper channels. Toffee has decided not to appeal, explaining, โI don’t really mind about the disciplinary note, I just miss the counting.โ
Field Operative Phileas Moss Esq. made it to Lost Property faster than expected today with the assistance of a luggage trolley. For safety, Anita Butler adapted the trolley by installing a windscreen made from the clear cellophane of a discarded sandwich wrapper, thus protecting Mr Moss from oncoming flies and debris.
Unfortunately, despite the speedy journey, on his arrival the office had already closed for the evening. Phileas therefore flagged down a passing station staff member who kindly pushed him back to @chesterstationtap. He has assured the Office he will return (via the adapted trolley) to the Lost Property Office first thing in the morning. Mr Moss describes the trolley ride as exhilarating and says it only makes him even keener to pursue aerial transportation.
Tiggy has retired for the evening to continue opening birthday presents from Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn.
The Office wishes all human subjects a restful evening.
