Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn arrived at Chester Station this afternoon, as promised, to collect Tiggy ahead of her 7th birthday tomorrow.
Her arrival was not entirely uneventful:
As she made her way along the platform, she was complimented by a rat on the fine umbrella she was carrying and, being the friendly sort, stopped to thank him. The pair fell briefly into conversation.
The rat then lowered his voice and asked whether, as a lady who clearly appreciated quality apparel, she might have use for a quantity of wee parasols available at a very competitive price.
Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn replied that she might indeed, but could naturally only purchase goods from a licensed Station Trader, and so asked to see his documentation.
At this point, the previously rather talkative rat became considerably less so.
Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn quickly became suspicious and alerted the appropriate authorities. Station Rat B is now being questioned regarding both the supply of unauthorised cocktail parasols to Health & Safety (Ant Division) and the whereabouts of the Standard Issue Wee Parasols which remain unaccounted for following celebrations at The Chester Station Tap after Health & Safety (Ant Division) successfully executed a 26-ant synchronised quadruple somersault with parasols fully extended.
The Office once again extends its gratitude to Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn for her sharp observational skills.
Following this excitement, Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn handed Tiggy’s Personal Private Secretary a carefully wrapped package from Dillwyn Manor, explaining only that it was “a little commemorative gift for Tiggy’s admirers” and was not to be opened until tomorrow.
Tiggy and Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn then departed for the weekend. Their destination remains unknown, although Tiggy has every confidence that Mrs Dillwyn-Llewelyn understands the appropriate standards for a 7th birthday weekend, even if her Personal Private Secretary doesn’t.
The Office wishes all a wonderful weekend. ![]()
