The Office can confirm that while Platform 5 has reopened to human subjects, conditions remain challenging.
Following the extension of voting rights to all birds, attendance has vastly exceeded expectations and significant numbers of avian electoral participants continue to fly in.
Emmeline, Interim Assistant Deputy Acting Head of Avian Affairs (Platform 5 Division), had this to say.
“I would like to reiterate my coo for calm. I also would like to remind all voters that only votes pecked onto official ballot papers shall be counted – cawed votes shall be disregarded.
I am at this time also reaching out to the Department for Foreign Affairs & International Relations for assistance as I am becoming increasingly concerned by the communication difficulties being experienced between native birds and those from foreign territories, many of whom do not squawk the local language. I am determined that a language barrier should not delay the vote further.”
