2.04 Departmental Update – Polling Review

Following an internal review by the Department for Elections & Governance, the Department for Human Behaviour & Statistical Analysis wishes to provide an update regarding the Employee of the Week vote.

During a routine audit, a discrepancy was identified between the figures provided by the Department and the total number of votes received.

Following further investigation, it has been established that votes submitted via Instagram were not included in the recent calculations.

The Department wishes to make clear that this omission was entirely accidental and should not be interpreted as bias against Instagram users.

As Head of Department, I accept responsibility for the error and am overseeing a full recalculation of election results.

Buzz (Senior Human Behaviour Analyst) has described the situation as “regrettable”.

Toffee (Junior Data Acquisition Officer) has described the situation as “quite a lot of numbers”.

The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused and assures the public that it has a strong track record in the accurate handling of data, making this a highly unusual occurrence.

A revised polling report will be issued once all votes, including those cast by birds, have been reviewed and verified.

I have further assured the Office of Tiggy that all future absences from departmental duties will be supported by the appropriate paperwork and that, going forward, I will personally take full responsibility for checking data ahead of public release.

Harley,

Head of Department for Human Behaviour & Statistical Analysis

The Office of Tiggy🐾
