1. About The Office of Tiggy

The Office of Tiggy sells official merchandise associated with Tiggy – Chester Station Cat and The Office of Tiggy.

All products are offered subject to availability. We may occasionally amend, withdraw or replace products or designs.

2. Products

We take reasonable care to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device, and handmade or individually produced products may have minor natural variations.

Product dimensions and other measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise.

Many Office of Tiggy products are produced or printed in small quantities or to order. This does not affect your statutory cancellation or consumer rights.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated.

The total price of your order, including any applicable delivery charge, will be displayed before you place your order.

Payment can be made using the payment methods offered at checkout.

Your payment provider may perform its own security or authorisation checks.

4. Orders and formation of the contract

After placing an order, you will receive an automated acknowledgement by email.

A contract between you and The Office of Tiggy is formed when we accept your order for fulfilment.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order before fulfilment where, for example, a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or website error, payment has not been authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

5. Delivery

We currently offer delivery to the destinations shown at checkout.

Available delivery methods, charges and any estimated delivery times will be displayed during checkout.

We will take reasonable care to dispatch orders promptly. Occasionally delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Unless otherwise agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made, as required by applicable UK consumer law.

6. International orders

Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to local import duties, taxes, customs charges or handling fees.

Where these are not collected from you at checkout, they may be charged by the relevant authorities or delivery provider in the destination country. The customer is responsible for such charges where applicable.

Customers ordering internationally are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can lawfully be imported into their destination country.

7. Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you will normally have the legal right to change your mind and cancel your purchase.

For most goods, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or somebody nominated by you, receives the goods.

You do not need to give us a reason for cancelling.

To exercise your right to cancel, contact us at tiggy@tiggythecat.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to.

After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must normally return the goods within 14 days.

8. Exceptions to cancellation rights

The statutory right to cancel may not apply to certain products, including goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you.

Where a product falls within an exception to the statutory cancellation right, we will make this clear before you purchase it.

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

9. Returns following a change of mind

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation.

Please take reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession.

You may inspect an item as you reasonably would in a shop. We may be permitted by law to reduce a refund to reflect a loss in value caused by handling beyond what was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Please contact tiggy@tiggythecat.co.uk before returning an item so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

10. Refunds

Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund the price paid for the returned goods together with the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where required by law.

If you chose a more expensive delivery service than our standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you provide evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.

Where applicable, refunds will be made within the timescales required by law.

11. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or materially different from its description, please contact tiggy@tiggythecat.co.uk as soon as reasonably possible and include your order number and, where helpful, photographs showing the problem.

We will deal with the matter in accordance with your rights under applicable consumer law.

12. Charity contribution

The Office of Tiggy currently donates 10% of profits from official merchandise sales to Chester Kitty Cat Rescue.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchases are transactions with The Office of Tiggy and are not direct charitable donations by the customer.

The Office of Tiggy is responsible for making the relevant donation from its profits.

13. Intellectual property

The Office of Tiggy name, original written material, artwork, designs, logos, character material and other original content appearing on our products or website may be protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property rights.

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of those intellectual property rights or grant permission for commercial reproduction.

14. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

These Terms do not limit your statutory rights concerning faulty or misdescribed goods. UK consumer terms cannot lawfully contract out of those fundamental protections.

15. Privacy

Personal information supplied when you use our website or place an order will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy and cookie consent settings.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The Terms that apply to your purchase will be those in force when your order is placed.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and rights available to you under the law applicable to you.
