3.20 Letter of Resignation

🕊️ LETTER OF RESIGNATION 🕊️

To: Tiggy, Chief Rat Catcher & Inspector of Human Behaviour

Cc: The Office of Tiggy

Dear Tiggy,

It is with considerable sadness that, with immediate effect, I tender my resignation as Assistant Deputy Acting Head of Avian Affairs (Platform 5 Division).

When I accepted this appointment, I had anticipated overseeing avian voting operations on Platform 5 only. However, since that time, my responsibilities have expanded to include overseeing overnight flying mammal voting, report writing and the management of increasingly vocal demonstrations on Platform 6.

I have undertaken these duties willingly and to the very best of my abilities.

However, having now worked continuously for two days and two nights, and today having received correspondence indicating that the statistical analysis upon which decisions regarding my ongoing workload depend has been delayed until Monday (following the loss of a tennis ball), not to mention the fact that the promised avian translation expert has still not materialised after two weeks, I regret that I no longer feel able to discharge my duties to the standard expected by yourself, the Office or indeed myself.

This decision has not been taken lightly.

I remain deeply grateful for the confidence you placed in me and it has been a privilege to serve both you and the human subjects of Chester Station.

Yours respectfully,

Emmeline
Former Interim Assistant Deputy Acting Head of Avian Affairs (Platform 5 Division)
