EVENING REPORT: Tiggy has completed her evening patrol and is pleased to report that all remains broadly under control.

Mr Bernard Thistlethwaite, NUAE Regional Case Officer (Cheshire West), arrived at Chester Station this afternoon to represent Mrs Emmeline Peckhurst. His slightly bumpy aerial arrival on Platform 5 displaced approximately 7,000 ants from the Staff Census queue. Mrs Peckhurst has spent much of the afternoon restoring order. Formal discussions will commence tomorrow.

Buzz and Toffee have completed their recount of Box 1 of the 143-box consignment from Wee-Tap Shoes R Us. Their jointly agreed total is 1,011, which unfortunately does not correspond with any previous count. Nonetheless, in the interests of moving things along, they will commence counting Box 2 tomorrow.

Auditions for the Synchronised Tap & Parasol Dance Troupe resumed at noon. Early performances have been disappointing, with several candidates noticeably under-rehearsed following the prohibition on practising choreography in the Staff Census queue. Mrs Peckhurst maintains that this is not grounds for relaxing the prohibition.

Socks has achieved another Distinction, this time in Module 2a(i): Rodent Detection, Pursuit & Apprehension (Simulated). Tiggy accepts that Socks demonstrated some potential, while maintaining that successful apprehension of a fabric Starter Training Mouse does not in itself demonstrate readiness for active rat-catching duties.

Work on the Official 2027 Calendar continues. Several months are now complete, although Tiggy remains impatient. Her Personal Private Secretary has once again reminded her that designing a quality calendar involves rather more than shoving some dates below twelve photographs.

Preparations for Tiggy’s 7th birthday on Saturday remain stalled. Tiggy understands that her Personal Private Secretary continues to regard a small cake and a round of Happy Birthday as adequate. Tiggy does not.

The Office wishes all human and non-human subjects a very pleasant evening.
