Tiggy has reviewed this morning’s departmental reports and is pleased to report that all remains broadly under control.
🐈 Tiggy wishes to correct yesterday’s assumption that, upon leaving home, she spent the morning at Chester Station. In fact, she briefly popped into the station before reporting for duty at the nearby Tramways Student Accommodation. Tiggy previously undertook extensive rat-catching training at Tramways before transferring to Chester Station and has decided to return in an advisory capacity to welcome the new students starting the academic year. Whether this represents a temporary appointment or whether Tiggy intends to expand the remit of The Office of Tiggy remains unknown at this juncture.
🐜 Work has resumed on the Wee Parasol Cathedral. Ant No. 5,712, Cecilia Fortescue FRCOrg (Fellow of the Royal College of OrgAntists), has been appointed Director of Music and will oversee the construction of two fully functioning organs modelled upon Chester Cathedral’s historic Grand Organ and Chamber Organ.
Ms Fortescue has confirmed that, once construction is complete, she intends to challenge celebrated organist Anna Lapwood to a Bach-a-thon.
👞 Auditions for the Chester Station Synchronised Tap & Parasol Ant Dance Company have commenced on the windowsill adjacent to the bicycle racks. Ants are reminded that the agreed order of business is: complete Staff Census form, audition, resume construction of the Wee Parasol Cathedral.
🐌 Phileas Moss Esq. has arrived at The Carriage Shed for the latest fitting of his prototype flying harness. Dr Conrad Vesper reports: “Aerodynamically, Mr Moss continues to present certain challenges, not least due to his insistence on the necessity of his two half-pint plinths. Nonetheless, as a team we remain optimistic about our ability to get him safely airborne.”
🐀 Station Rats A & B have commenced their sentences of hard labour following the Wee Parasol Affair. Rat A has lodged a formal objection to what he describes as the excessive and wholly disproportionate nature of his sentence. Rat B has quietly accepted his punishment.
The Office wishes all human subjects and creatures a wonderful day.
