Tiggy has completed her evening patrol and is pleased to report that all remains broadly under control.
Routine measurements for the ants’ Standard Issue Wee Parasol scale model of Chester Cathedral have resulted in the discovery of a previously unrecorded stained-glass window depicting Lady Tigridia of Chester (c. 1552–1567), potentially a direct ancestor of Tiggy. A document found alongside it identifies Lady Tigridia as a prime suspect in an unsolved murder dating from 1556. Tiggy has ordered the 470-year-old investigation be reopened. Her annual twelve-herring stipend is also being investigated; Tiggy is hopeful that it was hereditary.
Alongside the earlier reports of migratory anteaters, a human subject has reported an armadillo escaping from a mobile zoo. There is no indication that it intends to head towards Chester, although the possibility of it catching a lift has been raised. Station staff and passengers travelling by car are advised under no circumstances to offer lifts to hitchhiking armadillos.
Mr Phileas Moss Esq. has continued interviewing applicants for his flying-harness engineering team. Several candidates have now been seen, one of whom Mr Moss has called back for a second interview.
Postal voting for Employee of the Week (week ending 12 June) remains open. Ballot papers must be returned by next Thursday, at which time counting will commence. Mrs Emmeline Peckhurst has asked all creatures to return their ballots promptly to avoid further delay to what has now become a three-month-long democratic process.
The Department for Human Behaviour & Statistical Analysis have made little measurable progress on their elastic-band ball, although Toffee has enthusiastically counted 32 elastic bands today.
Mrs Gladys M. Dillwyn-Llewelyn is travelling from Pont-y-pont to study the stained-glass window of Lady Tigridia, with a view to creating a companion piece featuring Tiggy. It is hoped the new window can be placed on permanent display at Chester Station.
Tiggy would like to thank all human subjects for their continued support and wishes everyone a wonderful weekend.
